Korea is the biggest player in smart grid technologywith an investment over 6 billion andwith over 18 billion in smart grid infrastructure build-out. there also looking to improve that by expanding there industry to spend $15.8 billion on building out smart grid infrastructure in the country between 2009 and 2016. With an ultimate goal of spending over 24 billion by year 2030.
Over the next 10 years, China is expected to invested an estimated $100 billion in smart grid technology. China benefits from smart grids more than any other country, so it is natural they would pursue this method of energy conservation. The State Grid Corp. of China, its largest grid builder, services 1.08 billion people throughout 26 provinces. While America has recently invested about $3.4 billion to smart grid technology, China’s development is already far down the line.
