Corporate Environmentalism is the effort of corporate organizations making a concerted effort to do well for the environment. Whether it be in hands on projects or using materials and products that are eco-friendly or promote sustainability, it is the campaign for businesses to look environmentally conscious.
Corporate environmentalism may refer to corporate social responsibility in terms of the environment. The primary goal of corporations is to earn profits. If anything, issues other than that may be just secondary. Certain questions that arise in this debate are: “Do companies have a social responsibility to protect the environment beyond legal requirements?” and “Should firms sacrifice profits for positive environmental impacts?” Ultimately these things vary depending on the company’s policies.
