Corn plastic is a new biodegradable plastic made from…wait for it…corn. It’s made from polylactic acid instead of oil. This polylactic acid is a corn product, which is good because it’s a renewable natural resource. It’s also gentle on landfills because it can break down to its natural components, which is excellent for the environment. Making corn plastic also results in fewer greenhouse gases, and can be used for anything that oil-based plastic is used for.
