It seems as if any rate over 1% would be considered a high population growth rate. European countries seem to have low growth rates (France .4%, UK .2%, etc.) while many Asian and African countries have high ones (some as high as 4.8%). The overall growth rate of the world is currently 1.14%, which means the world population of 6.5 billion will double to 12 billion in 61 years (2067).
