What is Congo doing to slow deforestation?

The Congo’s deforestation is being slowed by trying to re-grow flora through burning.  Whenever the flora is burned in certain locations, the plants will grow back faster next season.  The problem with this process is that it emits massive amounts of carbon into the air.
