Edible landscaping is the concept of planning a landscape with fruits, vegetables and herbs being to focal point of your garden instead of purely ornamental flowers and plants. The landscapes include edible shrubs, trees, plants and vines that not only look beautiful, but are edible. For example, instead of planting an ivy that will grow up a lattice, you may choose to plant beans that will act in the same way. Lemon and lime trees are also popular as they bring nice color to a garden. Check out the link for some great tips on edible landscaping. It’s a great idea!
One famous edible landscape is John Muir’s home. He grew numerous fruit trees around his home to feed his family. Today, you can visit his home and see it for yourself!
