The Abu Dhabi Investment Council Headquarters Towers (what a mouthful!) feature a honeycomb shell that will reduce solar heat gain. The pattern was produced by mathematics rooted in Islamic design, and should reduce the power it would take to cool the buildings by about 25%. The towers – 25 stories tall with capacity for 2,000 employees – will be finished in 2012.
