Athough most of central and south Mexico experiences heavy rainfall during the summer, the state of Tabasco (Villahermosa is its largest city) has more rainfall than any other part of Mexico.
Located on thes isthmus in southern Mexico, Tabasco usually gets about 2,000 mm of rain each year. Because of it experiences so much precipitation, Tabasco often sees flooding during the rainy season.
