Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. The entire island of Iceland is running on over 80% renewable energy, with less than 1% of its total energy coming from fossil fuels. The Icelandic government has the goal of being 100% fossil fuel and oil free by the year 2050. Since they do not burn fossil fuels, other than in vehicles, which they have less of than most industrial countries, they do not have greenhouse gas emissions.
