What cities currently have anti idling legislation?

    New York City strengthened its anti-idling laws earlier this year. A number of states and cities have laws against idle time. Depending on location, idle time can be from 2-15 minutes, and fines range from about $25 to $25,000. Sometimes idling can result in imprisonment.

    Aside from New York, some other cities and towns with anti-idling laws include:
    Aspen, Colorado
    Branford, Connecticut
    Washington DC
    New Orleans, Louisiana
    Minneapolis, Minnesota
    St. Louis, Missouri
    Charleston, South Carolina
