You can find local produce in many cities throughout the U.S., its just a matter of knowing where to look and who to ask. Farmers markets are becoming more preveleant once again, making it easier for city dwellers to have access to fresh food. Below is an image of the U.S. indicating where there are farms and farmers markets. Here is a link to an organization that can help you find local produce vendors, farmers or farmers markets nearest to where you live.
You should be able to find local produce in almost any city. Most states have agriculture, even if it’s a very small bit. Just research where the nearest farmer’s market is.
Stella, I would suggest you find the closest farmer’s market, where fresh, local, organic food is traded freely, directly grower to consumer. Many cities and town have farmer’s markets all over town. Hope I helped, and have a green day!
