Albinism in animals is caused due to various gene mutations that affect the production of normal pigmentation. It occurs when an animal inherits either a single or multiple traits that interrupt the making of the pigment melanin.  The pigment melanin being the determinant of the mamma’s skin, eyes, and fur color.  Albino animals are all white or partial white and their eyes are deep pink or icy blue.
