Acid rain is caused by Sulfur Dioxide and Nitrogen Oxides released as exhaust from industrial processes. These gases combine into with water vapor in the atmosphere and lower its pH.

Acid rain is found largely in Europe, the United States of America and in China near highly urbanized areas.
