There are a few things you can do.
1. Protect the environment so you can protect yourself- carpool or use public transportation.
2. Try not to stay outdoors for long periods of time
3. Avoid strenuous activity outdoors
4. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and wearing sunscreen, even if its cloudy.
(PS get Mineral Sunscreen, it is chemical free)
Poor air quality is common in heavily populated urban and metropolitan areas. You can’t avoid it completely, but there are many ways you can make small changes and adapt your lifestyle to improve your quality of life. For example, keeping spider plants in your home and office will improve the air quality you breathe while indoors. Exercising outdoors in the morning when the air is least congested is best.
Some people choose to use HEPA filters in their cars and HEPA air purifiers in their homes to filter out many of the airborne pollutants we are exposed to every day. It is believed that women are particularly vulnerable to these pollutants, especially while pregnant.
