I’m not sure what you mean by “old ink.” It seems to me that, if the pen still has ink in it, you should be able to write with it. If the ink is dried up, take a syringe and inject a small amount of water into the reverse end of the pen. That usually makes the ink flow again. Once you’ve completely run out of ink, you can use the pen carteridge for soil-markers for plants, knitting needles, or straws.
