Is this a question of what you’re going to do because you’re getting rid of it? If that’s the case, I would find somewhere to donate it to someone who needs one and can’t afford it or at the very least try and sell it on Craig’s List or somewhere that it can be reused. If you’re uncomfortable with giving up meat, a green option would be cutting down on your meat intake in general because of the big carbon footprint that meat production has on the world. It’s a matter of everywhere doing what they can, no matter what their limits are. If the fridge isn’t in use, it’s better not to keep it plugged in your garage consuming energy.
