    The California Building Standards Code or Title 24, is a compilation of 3 types of building standards from different origins. These origins include: building standards adopted by state agencies without change from the national model codes building standards; building standards that have been adopted or adapted from the national model codes to comply with California’s conditions; and building standards that have been authorized by the California legislature that involve extensive additions not covered by model codes.
