California’s Cap and Trade Bill puts a limit on green house gas emissions. The goal is to reduce emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. In the first stage, 360 companies will be targeted from 2012-2014. From 2015-2020, it will expand to include distributors of transportation fuels, natural gas and other fuels. This bill contributes to making California the leader in climate change efforts.
