    The bushy tailed mongoose (Bdeogale crassicauada) is a medium sized dark brown or black mongoose with a very prominent bushy tail. They only have four toes on their feet and their height ranges from 40-60 cm. while their weight varies from 0.9-1.6 kg. The natural habitats for these mongoose are in coastal forests, thick woodland, and dense savannah. These animals are very, timid and nocturnal and they will either live solitary lives or form family groups.
