Britain has developed a Climate Change Bill. The bill will make Britain the first country in the world to have a legally binding commitment to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The Climate Change Bill will also create a Committee on Climate Change that will advise the government on the most appropriate ways of meeting their emission reduction goals. Britain has a goal of reducing emissions that cause climate change by 26% by 2020 and 60% by 2050. Another goal is 30% production of electricity from renewable resources by 2020.
