What is Bisphenol-A?

Bisphenol-A, better known as BPA is a chemical used to make plastics and resins.  It is described as an endocrine disruptor and it has been cause for concern for its affects on the prostate gland, the brain, and the development of children and infants.  It has also been accused of accelerating puberty in females and affecting reproductive health.  There are many studies out there, some saying its safe and others saying its not.  Personally, I would rather not take my chances.  If you’re worried like me, make sure you avoid plastics 3,6, and 7 and never heat up plastic and then eat or drink out of it.  This includes leaving water bottles sitting in your car, as the chemical can leech into its surroundings.  Hope this helps.
