What is Bisphenol A (BPA)?

    There have been lots of questions on this site about BPA, and a great blog about it by a member you can find here.  

    But to answer your question briefly: BPA stands for Bisphenol A, and is a chemical used the making of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins.  BPA can leach into our food and water from common containers, especially in high heat. The exposure is cause for concern particularly for possible negative effects on fetus and child development, and links to some cancers.
