What biofuel harms the environment the least?

The cleanest biofuel (in both production and use) is pure plant oil. Oil producing plants can be grown on-site, or nearby the processing facility, cutting down on transportation pollution. The fuel itself is a clean alternative to diesel fuel. And the byproducts need not be wasted; they can be used for animal feed.
