Butanol is fuel that can be used to power an internal combustion engine (i.e. a car). It’s actually closer to gasoline than ethanol is. BIObutanol is butanol made from the fermentation of biomass–farm leftovers–like straw and corn stalks, as well as plants such as sugar cane. Biobutanol can also be made with solar energy and algae, which is a product called Solalgel Fuel.
