    The largest species of gorilla is the Eastern Lowland Gorilla, found only in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. There are under 5000 in the wild today. They weigh up to 400 pounds and are up to 69 inches tall, and their lifespan is between 30-50 years.

    The easter lowland gorilla is the largest species. Adult males stand about 5 1/2 ft and weigh between 300-400 pounds.
