It depends if you’re trying to define percentage change or total change by a company. Newsweek recently put out a list of the greenest companies out of the country’s top 500. Hewlett Packard (ranked 1) has a ‘strong’ program to reduce greenhouse gases (without specific details). Dell, which came in at 2, is a completely carbon neutral company, is one of the best for recycling old units and will be increasing battery life by 25% by 2010. Johnson and Johnson came in at number 3 and although it’s one of the largest chemical toxic emitters, it has renewed its comittment to the environment.
