    According to http://www.wotwaste.com/waste-articles/commercial-waste/some-of-the-world-s-largest-landfills, the biggest landfill in China is in Laogang, Nanhui, Shanghai, China.  This landfill is the fifth biggest in the world and takes in about 9,100 tonnes of waste/day.  It is the principal landfill for Shanghai, which has a population of about 18 million people.
