The Palisade Glacier in the Sierra Nevada range is the largest glacier in California.  It is 1.3 kilometers long and terminates in a small lake.  The smallest glacier is Lilliput Glacier.

The Hotlum Glacier on Mount Shasta is the biggest glacier in Caiifornia, both in terms of surface area and ice volume. However, the Whitney Glacier is both thicker and longer than the Hotlum Glacier. The Palisade Glacier is not the largest glacier in California, but it is the largest glacier in the Sierra Nevada.
