What is the biggest animal in the rainforest?

The biggest rainforest animals in the world are the rainforest elephants of Africa, India, and Southeast Asia.  All Asian elephants are adapted to live in the forest, while in Africa there are elephant subspecies in both the forest and the savanna.  Though the very biggest elephants are those living in the African savanna, those in the rainforests of both Asia and Africa are just slightly smaller.  Elephants are, of course, not just the biggest animals in the rainforest – they’re the largest land animals in the world, as well.
