Big Green Boxes is an idea started by Gene Fredricks that is aiming to revolutionize the way urban spaces are used to improve sustainability. He hopes to do this by turning old, vacant warehouse buildings into spaces that can be used to house fish ponds, waterfalls, edible-greens gardens, and pea patches that would provide year-round sources of nutritious, green food for local communities.
