What you can do is try to reuse them or make something out of them. But of course, that’s not always practical. So, I suggest you try giving them to The Recycling People Limited which takes a lot of items for recycling, including old cassette tapes. Hope this helps!
Call your local recycling center to see if they accept them. If they don’t, you can use GreenDisk to recycle them. It costs money to do so, but perhaps you can call and negotiate something? Additionally, you can use earth911.com to locate a local recycling center that will accept your tapes. See the links below for more information.
