Legumes, nuts, seeds, dairy, whole grains, algae, soybeans, veges are fruis have amino acids also! Mushrooms are a great way to get away from chicken! at lease it was for me 🙂
There are plenty of ways. Eggs are a great source of protein and low in fat. Soy milk or tofu or any other soy product is also very high in protein and again, low in fat. Beans are an excellent source of protein in a vegetarian diet and low in fat as well.
Eggs, milk, yogurt, and cheese are great sources of protein. If you are also vegan, cereals, leafy greens, legumes, nuts, and quinoa are all great sources. For tasty combinations and other foods that can help you obtain a balanced diet, visit http://www.theveggietable.com/articles/protein.html.
The best (healthiest) way is through a variety of vegetables, fruits, and grains. Of grains, quinoa, oats, and wheat soba noodles have some of the highest protein content and of legumes edamame and peanuts have the highest.
