The 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid has won a ton of awards, including best North American car of the year. It boasts a range of about 700 miles on a single tank of gas.
Other top hybrids are the Honda Insight EX, the Toyota Prius, and the Mercury Milan.
There are many cars that claim to be “the best hybrid”, so it is hard to give a clear winner. However, if I had to choose one, I would say it was the Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius remains the most fuel efficient hybrid vehicle with an avg of 46 miles per gallon. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave both the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight the Top Safety Pick Award for 2010. The Toyota Prius is also the world’s best-selling hybrid vehicle, with sales now exceeding one million vehicles since the car’s debut in 1997.
