There are several ways to conserve water in your home. One of the biggest is quite obvious, which is to check for leaky taps and pipes. These are enormous water wasters, especially if it goes on for a long time. A dripping faucet may not look like much water is going to waste, but it adds up quite quickly. Also, pay attention to your gardens and yards. Try to stick to native vegetation or species that require little water, because keeping tropical plants alive in deserts raises your family’s water consumption considerably. Other than that, are those little things, like turning the water off while you’re brushing your teeth, shampooing your head, soaping up the dishes, etc. As long as you pay attention to where you’re using water, conservation should come quite naturally.
