You want a light material that can still hold a lot of supplies. However, it would be best to have a thin material to enclose everything that surrounds a very light skeleton for support. An aluminum skeleton is good. However, if you do your research, you can find the right backpack that is suited for your needs. Sometimes you do want a heavier backpack that can support more weight for longer journies.
