Is there anything that has everything?
Not really. Potatoes actually come close to being a food that you can live off of alone- they have a variety of different minerals and vitamins, but a bunch of unhealthy qualities as well. You really need to get nutrients from a variety of different sources, though some particular foods- spinach, tomatoes, lowfat yogurt- have many more nutrients than others. It’s best to consult with a dietitian or nutritionist if you’re really concerned with making certain you get all the correct foods, but basically eating a variety of food with an emphasis on vegetables should garuntee your personal health.
There are certain so called “perfect foods” or “super foods,” that can be identified as highly nutrient rich food. In the fruit department these can be blueberries, avocados, apples, oranges, bananas and pomegranates. For vegetables, these are carrots, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, onions, and broccoli. Eating these foods as part of a balanced diet should significantly increase the your nutrient intake.
