Seventh Generation. It is phosphate and chlorine free. It also comes with minimal packaging. Your water may be an issue however. Hardwater needs the phosphates to adequately clean dishes in an anutomatic dishwasher if you aren’t a pre-rinser. This detergent will however work perfectly in soft water without any prerinsing. The detergent also claims to be grey-water safe.

For an eco-friendly dish detergent, you can mix your own. All you have to do is combine one part borax and one part soda. Place two tablespoons of this combinations in your dishwasher the way you normally would. If you want, you can also add vinegar to the mixture as an anti-biotic.
