The most obvious health benefit is from a healthy diet. If you are living as green as possible, this includes eating very little meat (which takes much more energy and water to raise than vegetarian foods) and buying local, organic produce. Organic produce doesn’t introduce possibly detrimental pesticide residue into your system, and cutting out processed foods is healthier as well. And of course, eating less meat means less fat and a generally more nutritious diet. You can also argue that by living green, you are responsible for emitting less air pollution that is damaging to your lungs.
Living green can also make you healthier by relieving your stress. Some ways to relieve stress through living green are: exercising instead of taking a car, spending more time in nature (being around nature itself relieves stress), and gardening.
