What is bad science?

Bad science is irresponsible and faulty research. It happens when a certain party, usually a corporation, hires a scientist to research for them, for instance big tobacco hired many scientists to research health concerns in a way that was convenient for big tobacco. What the public will see is a “Dr.” title and an official looking study so sadly many don’t tell the difference. But often after closer look you’ll find the data is unreliable and has been twisted to serve the purposes of that corporation or individual regardless of truth. To sum up, bad science is sham science, often used by tobacco companies, pharmaceutical companies, and chemical manufacturers to name a few.
