As of 2008, the average lifespan of China’s population is 73.1 years. Of course, this is an average for an entire country that has vast differences in quality of life across the nation. For example, the life expectancy for a person in Shanghai (an urban, developed city) is 81.08, which means that there are people with far worse life expectancies in order to come up with a national average of 73.1
The average lifespan in China is is over 71 years for males and is over 75 years for females. This is data from 2009.
