Average global temperature is measured on a monthly basis.  The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) notes that the average temperature of the last 304 month have been the highest on record (records began in 1880).  From the most recent data (the 2010 data set), June 2010 was one of the warmest months ever, and set the record for warmest June ever (which kept the 304 month streak alive).  The average global temperature from June 2010 was 16.2 degrees C which is 61.16 degrees Fahrenheit.
