Three features of a moist tropical climate are high temperatures, large amounts of rain, and maritime tropical air masses. High temperatures and the large amounts of humidity form cumulus clouds on a daily basis in this climate. Rainfall is substantial year round with a total of over 250cm on an annual basis. Maritime tropical air masses directly influence the climate by bringing moisture and high pressure from the ocean and this causes so much precipitation in this type of environment.
