Zebra muscles are attached to zebra ligaments and bones, are encased in Zebra skin. Zebra muscles enable Zebras to operate in a terrestrial environment.
Zebra Mussels are an invasive species of clam which is native to Europe but which is currently sweeping through the water-ways of North America. Zebra mussels are an invasive species that thrive in algae-rich shallow waters.
Zebra mussels were originally introduced into the great lakes in the ballast of ships. As the colonized the great lakes they clarified the water. This allows sunlight to penetrate deeper into the water. Sunlight allows algae to grow and anoxic conditions to proliferate. Zebra mussels have also been suspected in the spread of avian botulism. They also attach themselves to crayfish and turtles.
