Current projects indicate that global warming will cause a 0.5 degrees C increase in the average global temperature by the year 2030. That may not seem like much, but keep in that that may is only a projection and may be different depending on our course of action (or lack thereof.) Temperatures have risen already, especially in the Arctic; in the last 50 years, Arctic temperatures rose 4-7 degrees C, and are projected to rise another 4-7 degrees C in the next hundred years.
