If infected, children often exhibit symptoms of E.coli. However, adults can sometimes also exihibit symptoms. The most common symptoms include: stomach cramps and tenderness, watery diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Anyone who is exposed to the virus can become infected; however, young children and older adults or immunocompromised individuals are more likely to develop problems than others. Furthermore, eating undercooked beef and drinking unpasteurized milk or juices can heighten one’s risk of contracting E.coli.
