To me, the main eco advantage of city living is less driving. In cities public transportation is easy to access and you can bike easily too. When you live in rual areas, you’re pretty much forced to drive.
I agree with jet. Living in rural areas, driving is going to be your sole mode of transportation in all likelihood. In cities, there are so many options to cutting your carbon emissions via transportation, whether that be through public transportation, walking, biking, rollerblading, etc.
