Compost is the obvious answer. I suppose you can burn it for energy, but that causes a whole mess of problems, including CO2 emissions.
One use of cow manure is to generate energy. Biogas plants can use cow manure to generate electricity. They could use the 1 billion tons of manure produced each year by the agricultural industry to generate up to 3 percent of electricity demands of the United Sates. Some of these plants could be used to eliminate coal powered facilities which would also help to reduce emission of greenhouse gases. Manure can also be used as a fertilizer for crops.
