Well, you ought to read Lars Eighner’s “Dumpster Diving.”  He describes scavenging through dumpsters as a homeless man and finding boom boxes, candles, bedding, toilet paper, a virgin male love doll, medicine, books, a typewriter, dishes, furnishing, calculators, and running shoes.  It’s a briliant essay about our throw-away culture.
