    According to the convention’s mission statement, the list of wetlands includes all wetlands “which are important for the conservation of global biological diversity and for sustaining human life through the maintenance of their ecosystem components, processes and benefits/services.”  Some notable sites include the Graeme Hall swamp, Buccocco reef, Bon Accord lagoon, the Caroni swamp, the Delaware Bay estuary, and the Nariva swamp.  To read the full list, click the citation link below.
