The Mayo clinic lists diabetes symptoms with the warning that symptoms can be really subtle and are often attributed to different problems, and some diabetes sufferers can have it for years without any symptoms at all. Traditional symptoms include excessive thirst and increased urination because the increased sugar levels in the blood force kidneys to work harder and the excretion of sugar in urine, fatigue, weight loss, blurred vision, sores that are slow to heal or frequent infections, tingling hands and feet, and tender gums that are red and swollen. The Clinic suggests that if you have any of these symptoms you consult with your doctor to see if you may have diabetes.
